Barbara Jean Harris was born June 12, 1954 in Harris County the eight child of the late William and EverLee Jarrett.
A Time to Live
Barbara grew up in Harris and Talbot County . She joined Valley Grove Baptist Church and served faithfully until her health failed. She was assistant superintendent of Church School. She also kept up with Church Records. She was also the mother of the Church. She attended Central High School. She worked at St. Francis Hospital for 15 years.
A Time To Love
Barbara fell in love and married James Harris on April 14, 1988. In April they celebrated 30 years of marriage.
A Time to Transition
Barbara departed this earthly home to her heavenly home peacefully on Thursday, May 17, 2018. She was proceeded in death by her parents: William and Ever Lee Jarrett and sibling Jessie Lee Jarrett.

Three devoted sons: Christopher Lyndell (Quinzetta) Hickey of Phenix City, Alabama; Clifton Bernard ( Michelle) Hickey of Fort Mitchell, Alabama; Terrill Perion Hickey of Columbus, Georgia. Eight Grandchildren: Christopher Jervon Hickey, Benl Trevon William Hickey, Kedar Bernard Hickey, Asia Nichole Jackson, Talilah Gentle Hickey, Terrill Hickey Jr. Antashay Renae Carter and Terrill Hickey. Three Brothers: Charlie Milton Jarrett, Jimmy ( Minnie Pearl) Jarrett and Earnest (Rosa) Jarrett. Four Sisters: Mattie Ruth Copeland, Maxie Finley, Beulah ( J. D. ) Wortham, Elaine (Johnny) Hardnett. Two Sister-in-laws: Mattie Pearl Jarrett and Janie L. Harris. One brother-in-law: Tommy Lee Harris. She also leaves to cherish her memories: a host of nieces, nephes, cousins, and friends that will miss her dearly.
