November 18, 1930 — April 11, 2017

Mother Evelyn born November 18, 1930, leaves us with 86 years, 4 months and 24 days of rich memories. Evelyn was one of 10 children born to the union of the late Jimmie Lee (Sam) Denson and Isabelle (Essie) Copeland Denson.
Mother Evelyn attended Talbot County schools and continued to the workforce at Goody Products, from which she retired after more than 30 years of service.
Mother Evelyn joined Valley Grove Baptist Church at an early age. She was recently crowned Mother of the Church in January 2017 as being the oldest living mother.
Mother Evelyn married George (Bob) Johnson and to this union 8 children were born. She taught each child the values of being a family and loving unconditionally. In her later years, she enjoyed watching baseball and watching the television game show "Jeopardy."
Mother Evelyn departed with peace and grace on April 11th. She was preceded in death by her husband, George Johnson and son, Irvin Wendell Johnson; siblings: James Denson, Lucy Owens, Jasper Denson, Calvin Denson and Betty Jean Denson.
