Geraldine Russell Boddie

Ms. Geraldine Russell Boddie was born to the late Amanda Gamble-Russell and John Lee Russell in Columbus, Georgia on January 4,1945 and later moved to Manchester, Georgia. On Wednesday, June 29,2016, an angel gained her wings and was called home.

Geraldine was the sweetest person on earth, loved everyone and the strongest woman that we ever knew. She will be missed by many but not forgotten. "Love one another and be good to one another"; one of the many quotes that she often preached.

She leaves to cherish her loving memory, four daughters, McShella D. Lawson, Veronica Boddie ( Tony), Lorraine D. Powell, and Aundrea N. Colbert (Mark); three sons, Joseph K. Boddie, Anthony R. Boddie, and Willie M. Boddie, all of Atlanta, Georgia; one brother, Willie L. Russell (Barbara), College Park, Georgia; fifteen grandchildren, thirty-two great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Joyce E. Boddie; three sisters, Margaret Smith, Clarice Lindsey, and Eunice Johnson.
