Mary Liza Parks

Mary Liza Parks was born in Talbot County, GA on April 7, 1934 to the late Deacon Golden and Sister Mary Analiza Dixon-Holmes.  She departed this life Tuesday, February 16, 2021 at Warm Springs Memorial Nursing Home.

Sister Mary confessed Christ at an early age and became a member of Valley Grove Baptist Church.  She was united in Holy Matrimony to the late Willie Parks and retired after thirty plus years of services with Goody Products.

In addition to her father, mother and husband, she was preceded in death by ten siblings, Mattie Bell Tucker, Eddie Lee Holmes, Golden Holmes, Jr., Willie B. Holmes, Richard Holmes, Mattie Holmes, Daisy Horton, Dorothy Walker, Marvin Holmes and Lovie Lee Hixson.

She leaves to cherish her memories three brothers: John Lewis (Willie Mae) Holmes, Bobby (Sandra) Holmes and Wilbert Holmes; four sisters: Mandy Holmes, Earlene (Larry, Sr.) Neal, Louise (Grady) Trice, Rubye Holmes; and an abundance of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends that will miss her dearly.
