Emmitt Morris 'Pennywank' Hardnett

Emmitt Morris Hardnett was born January 10, 1953 to the late Emmitt and Eddie Bell Hardnett. Emmitt passed away peacefully in the arms of the Lord on March 26, 2018.

Emmitt attended Meriwhether County Training School in Manchester, Georgia and graduated with honors in May of 1970.

Emmitt is survived by his daughter Tekica Dawson; two grandchildren, Mekhi Benton and Kieza Crowell; three aunts, Alice (Sammy) Ellison, Pauline Prather, and Shirley Terry; one uncle, Joe Louis Ellison (Mildred); a cousin he considered as his daughter, Dr. Kanidrus Prather; a supportive classmate and friend, Brenda Holmes; a devoted friend, Joyce Traylor, a loving family and a host of friends who will miss him dearly.
