Stewardess Marie Terry, daughter of the late Charlie and Rose Reedy was born on February 28, 1928 in Harris County.
She accepted Christ at an early age and remained a faithful and devoted member of the St. Paul C.M.E Church where she served as a stewardess until her health began to fail her. Throughout her 98 years, she was a devoted wife, loving mother, and dedicated homemaker who found her greatest joy in caring for her husband, children and family.
On June 21, 2026, Stewardess Marie peacefully transitioned from this life surrounded by the love and comfort of her devoted caregivers, including a special granddaughter, Monica (Bennie) Howard; her loving daughter, Liza Terry; and the compassionate staff of Aveanna Hospice Care of Griffin, Georgia.
Stewardess Marie was the last earthly survivor among of nine siblings, joining them in eternal rest after along and blessed life. She was preceded in death by her seven sisters and two brothers, two sons, John William Terry Jr. and Maurice (Gloria) Terry, two grandsons, Bruce Harvey and Rod Terry and one special niece, Betty Terry.
Cherishing her memories are her ten children: Mary (Adel) Earl, Dorothy Moody, Julie (the late Walter) Jackson, Liza Terry, Marion Terry, Dwight (Pamela) Terry, Barbara (Chris) Searcy, Jonnie (Seandra) Terry, Wallace Terry and Valery (Laura) Terry.
Carrying forward her legacy of love are her nineteen grandchildren: Bruce, Jakeylon, Vincent, Johnny, Kimberly, Solomon, Anthony, Michael, Monica, Tavares, Chantell, Travis, Amy, Rashard, Jonnie, Shaylah, Sharonda and Makayla, thirty-two great grandchildren, several great-great grandchildren, three special nieces: Bernice Hough, Janice Whitehead and Teresa Daniel, extended family and dear friends.
