Willie George Jones

Willie George Jones was born on September 29,1948 in Woodbury, Georgia to the parentage of the late Charlie Jones and Sarah Emma Willis also of Woodbury, GA.

Willie Jones was baptized at an early age at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church, Woodbury, GA.

He was an employee of Georgia Pacific for twenty plus years until his retirement. He was married in holy matrimony to Linda Faye Jones for 43 years.

He was preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters: Ulice "Pump" Jones (Mae), LC Jones, Robert L. Jones, Sally Stargell, Mattie K. Anthony, and Virginia Stubb.

He is survived by three sons and two daughters: Theo Jones (Tawany) of Barnesville, GA; Charles Jones of Franklin, (Jennifer); Lavelle Deon Jones and Michelle Lashon Jones (Twins) both of Woodbury, GA, Adopted Daughter: Yvette Dixson (Lamont) of Griffin, GA; 8 grandchildren: Broderick and Bryson Gilliam raised as his own. He is also survied by three brothers and one sister: Willie Frank of Chicago, Illinois: Charles Jones (Martha) of Atlanta, GA; Mary Lee Wade of Virginia Beach, VA ; Luther Ray Bell (Nikia). A host of loving relatives including his sister and brothers in laws, several nieces and nephews, and close friend, Tommy Booker.
